27/03/15- Nik has just finished directing a four-day research and development period of Niki Orfanou's play i could sleep in your arms. The play was selected as winner of Tobacco Factory Theatres' open new-writing competition and looks at the conflicting societal attiudes towards migrants.

 

19/03/15- Nik has recently finished working with Rider Shafique on his one-man, semi-autobiographical show I-dentity. A recording-artist who had never previously made a piece of theatre, the play examines the pervading effects of racism in modern Britain and opened the Strike-A-Light Festival 2015.

 

27/02/15- Nik has just finished working with Bea Roberts on her one-woman show Infinity Pool- a modern retelling of Madame Bovary in which the characters never appear on stage and the story is told through a mixture of sound, PowerPoint, VHS and OHP. It opened at The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter and is on tour until July. More information can be found here.

 

28/01/15- Nik directed a sharing of Theo Sholefield's new play Little Waves. The play was produced as part of Bristol Old Vic's Ferment Fortnight.

 

17/10/14- Nik is about to start assisting Sally Cookson on 101 Dalmatians produced by Tobacco Factory Theatres and Travelling Light. 

 

11/10/14- Nik has recently finished directing Coastal Defences by Tom Phillips, as part of Theatre West's 'One Day' Season. The show ran at Tobacco Factory Theatres for 2 weeks- more information, reviews and pictures can be found here

 

15/09/14- playOn's Stacy (dir. Nik Partridge) was remounted at the New Diorama Theatre. 

 

18/08/14- Nik is associate director on Filter Theatre's Macbeth, opening at Tobacco Factory Theatres in September. More information and production shots here

 

10/08/14- Nik directed Bruises by Kieran Hurley, produced by the Royal Court at Wilderness Festival. 

 

16/07/14- Nik has been in Ireland, developing a new musical Hail! with composer/writer Ray Scannell and producer Jen Coppinger. The piece was shown at LAB, Dublin, Everyman Theatre, Cork and at the Galway International Arts Festival 2014.

 

18/05/14- Nik has been assisting Emma Callander (Associate Director, Traverse) on the national tour of Banksy: The Room in the Elephant by Tom Wainwright. The play ran at the Arcola Theatre, Oxford Playhouse, Sherman Cymru, Tobacco Factory Theatres and Traverse.

 

07/05/14- Nik has recently written a guest blog post for the Guardian about supporting regional theatre and emerging talent. You can find that here.

 

15/02/14- Nik has just finished directing the first full UK production of Chris Goode's Infinite Lives. The play opened at Tobacco Factory Theatres and ran for two weeks. More information, reviews and production shots can be found here

 

01/12/13- Nik will be director-in-residence at the Tobacco Factory Theatres for 2014. In Febuary Nik will be directing Infinite Lives by Chris Goode at the Brewery Theatre.  

 

20/11/13- playOn have been selected for the IdeasTap/New Diorama Emerging Companies Program. As part of this they will recieve exclusive mentoring and workshops, as well as the opportunity to hold a launch event for the comapny at the New Diorama Theatre early in the new year.
