DEBRIS

by Dennis Kelly

When Michael finds a baby amongst a pile of rubbish he decides to bring it home and raise it himself. Meanwhile his sister remains morbidly fascinated with stories of her mother’s death.

Michael and Michelle are two siblings trying to piece together their family wreckage as they attempt to make sense of their abnormally detrimental childhood.

Dennis Kelly’s remarkable debut Debris finds humour, poetry and pathos in a spectacularly dysfunctional family unit and two people whose upbringing was anything but normal.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011.

Cast: Will Howard & Lily Knight.
